Safety instructions

The unit must not be used in the following situations under any circumstances:

Read and observe the safety instructions. Ask your specialist installer to instruct you in how to use the unit.

Risks for children and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of knowledge.

The unit may only be installed and cleaned by people who can safely recognise and avoid the risks associated with this work.

Risk of injury when handling sharp-edged housing parts/sharp sheet metal parts/housing parts of the roof duct or packaging.

Wear protective gloves if necessary.

Risk during transport from heavy or falling loads.

Observe applicable safety and accident prevention regulations.

  1. Do not stand under a suspended load.
  2. Check unit for transport damage. Do not commission a damaged unit.

Risk of injury when working at heights.

Use appropriate climbing aids (ladders). Stability should be ensured, if necessary have the ladders steadied by a 2nd person. Ensure that you are standing securely and cannot lose your balance and that there is no one under the installation location.

Risk of injury when working on roofs.

Use appropriate protection to prevent falling. Wear the protective clothing required. Cordon off installation area so unauthorised people cannot enter.

Risk from falling roof tiles.

Secure any loose roof tiles before beginning with installation work. Cordon off installation area so unauthorised people cannot enter.

  1. Wear a hard hat.

Risk of burns on hot surfaces due to prolonged solar radiation.

Wear protective gloves.

Risk to health when handling construction foam.

Breathing complications or risk of suffocation may occur.

  1. Wear protective gloves and goggles.
  2. Use non-pressing/non-spreading construction foam.

Risk of injury when cutting/adjusting the roof tiles.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
